My First Love

Poem “My first Love” by Aiswarya Subramanian

Ain’t thee of Providence’s make?
think not so!
for thou art above it;
thou art one piece,
such unique for thee can’t
be of Od’s creation!

Thy brows, thine visage,
Thy complexion, thine shape
Oh my my! Od’s great, thine art –
mine precious stone for sure.
Thou art pretty,
mine mind has fallen,
that was so strong!

This is not of today’s fashion,
Which is short-lived,
Which is just like a piece of cake,
Which when eaten gets over,
but mine ain’t so;
but is real and truth
that lasts forever!

In future thee may not recall me,
but thee shall be remembered
till eternity-
for thine unique face
shall never be forgotten
by this poor soul!
